You list several supported languages and at the end of the description you write “others”. Does this include Hebrew? I’ll order once you confirm that Hebrew is indeed a supported language.

    1. Hi Neta,

Sometimes, some languages are added depending on the manufacturer. Unfortunately, I don’t know if it has Hebrew but you can ask Fastcardtech about Hebrew language support. Leave a comment at their website here: Fastcardtech.

    Hi Kris,
Are you from Indonesia? because if yes, I have several questions. I am very interested in this phone. I am also fully aware that this phone hasn’t officially released yet. So before I decided on buying there are some things I need to clarify:
    1. Is the fastcardtech paypal method has specific surcharge?
    2. Is it true that if I bought items for USD 200 ++ you got the free shipping?

    I am from Indonesia too

    1. Hi Ivan!

Sorry I am not from Indonesia. I think Fastcardtech has a surcharge of 4.5% if you pay by Paypal. It is true that if you order above $200, you get free shipping by Airmail. But some items also have Free Shipping even if they are not above $200. You can confirm this with Fastcardtech.

      Best Regards,

Jiayu G3 is worth the wait. But I do not know when it will be released. From my experience with Jiayu G2, I can say that Jiayu phones have better quality than most of the other Chinese phones.

How long does the battery last on heavy usage and moderate usage?

    1. Hi! Sorry I don’t have the info for that. The phone is not yet released so we can’t know for sure until someone tests it. It has a 2750 mAh battery so it should last long.

        1. Hi! If you use the Wifi or play games, the battery will be drained faster. Usually, the battery will get better when you have had several charge/discharge cycles.

I guess nobody’s with me on this one, but I don’t like the ‘bright’ kind of brushed metal, it is so distracting and non cohesive with the black of the screen. I’d rather have the darker one, which popped up, check it out: www. gizchina.com/2012/08/02/jiayu-g3-which-color-do-you-choose

Also, allegedly the G4 will truely be inspired by the customer input/wishes. Jiayu’s one of the few actually listening to people about what they want instead of creating something from their own perspective which might just lack the thing you’re looking for.

    1. Hi! I’m not much into metallic finishes. I prefer the black design.

It’s good to know that Jiayu is actually taking into consideration the consumers’ preferences. It’s a good indication that the company cares what the customers think. Their strategy is going to get them more customers.

I’m quite excited for Jiayu G3’s release. I hope they exceed expectations.

    Hi Kris,

I thought that the processor MT6577 was 1.2 Ghz dual core, and not a 1Ghz only. Am I wrong?

    1. Hello Telmo,
The processor MT6577 is 1GHz by default but manufacturers often overclock the CPU, that’s why some MT6577 phones have processor speeds of 1.2 GHz or more. So, it would depend on the phone. But I posted the 1GHz CPU speed because it is the designed speed of the MT6577.

1- Does it have a compass ” megalithic sensor ”
2- Does it support Full Arabic ” connected letters ” ?
3- How much the Amount of ROM usable for the user ?

    1. Hi! I don’t know what a megalithic sensor is but Jiayu G3 should support a magnetic compass. Jiayu G2 is not yet released in the market so I am not sure if the Arabic language supported by the phone is “Full Arabic” and how much ROM is really useable. You can ask Fastcardtech about this since they should have an engineering sample of this phone. Visit their website and leave a comment on their page here: Fastcardtech.

    1. Hello Mirek,
In my opinion, Jiayu phones have better quality than Zopo phones. Jiayu has its own factory, while Zopo has none. Zopo hires OEM factories to build their phones.

I know the dual core in the xiaomi is better, but how much better?
Couldnt find any comparing between the mtk and the qualcomm

    1. Hello! I only have data for the Antutu benchmark score of Xiaomi M1s and it scores quite high with 6855. I expect Xiaomi M1s to perform better than Jiayu G3 because the M1s has a 1.7 GHz CPU compared to G3’s 1.0 GHz CPU. With this comparison, I predict Jiayu G3’s Antutu benchmark score to be around 5300-5800.

I was going to buy h5500 , how does this one is cheaper than h5500 since it looks better

    1. It just depends on the manufacturer. Some manufacturers have better production and marketing strategies to sell their phones. Jiayu also has its own factory, unlike Hero which hires other factories to build their phones. That may account for the cheaper price of Jiayu despite the better looks and more advanced specs.

    1. Hello!
If I would choose between the two, I’d go for the Jiayu G3. It has better specs and the price is cheaper. The G3 has better screen (Gorilla Glass), resolution (1280 x 720 pixels), and battery capacity (2750 mAh). The only advantage Amoi N820 has is the better front camera resolution (3.0 megapixels).

I preodered this Jiayu phone but now i’m concern.
I saw somewhere that the phone support 3g 850/900/1900/2100 MHz
but on ejiayu.com web site it only mention 2100 MHz
now according to http://maps.mobileworldlive.com/, in my country 3g is mostly covered by 850 and 1900 MHz while some LTE is on 1700/2100

So, my big question is, is this phone good for me or not ? will LTE work on this phone ? if not will 3G work ?

    1. Jiayu has changed the 3G settings from 850/900/1900/2100 MHz to 2100 MHz. It may not work in your country. LTE also will not work on this phone. It is best to contact the seller and change your order to a phone that supports WCDMA 850/1900 MHz.

In fact I would have preffered Jiayu G3 if it comes in 5inch screen. I don’t really know how good the HDC Galaxy Note 2 will be. Do you know of a better 5 or 5+ inch screen phone? You can let me have them in order of preference according to the quality of their build and performance.
Thanks once again for the good job you are doing.
    Best regards,

    1. Hello Darry,
If you are not on a tight budget, you can check out Lenovo LePhone K860 and Zopo ZP900 Leader. If you are willing to wait, Oppo Find 5 X909 is definitely worth considering. So my preference for 5-inch screen phones would be Oppo Find 5 X909, Lenovo LePhone K860, and Zopo ZP900 Leader.

I have a question about the jiayu g3, because it looks really impressive, but the Jiayu is always delaying the product and the last excuse was just… i cant even comment :P would you mind comment about some options in this same range? i think it would made a great post! because good cheap cellphone is exactly what most of the people looks when buying the chinese ones! (i think…) thanks for your attention, and congratulations on the site! cheers from Brazil ^^

    1. Hi Cristiano! Jiayu G3 was finally released early this month and it quickly was sold out. It’s unfortunate that they didn’t make enough for the thousands that were patiently waiting for the phone. I hope they produce more this time and release it soon. If you can’t wait for Jiayu G3, I think Jiayu G2S will be a good alternative. It also has a dual core CPU and 1 GB RAM. Another good phone with similar specs is Newman N1 although it is due to come out possibly some time this month.

Jiayu G3 is a great phone. But it quickly goes out of stock because it is very hot-selling and the supply is limited. If you want one, you better act quickly. If the phone is out of stock, I recommend the following 1 GB RAM phones as alternatives: NEO NO2-M, Newsmy Newman N1, and Jiayu G2S. Fastcardtech is a reliable online shop. Fastcard customer support is a joke. They keep telling me to “contact my telecom operator”

    1. Hi! First try calling your network and ask them to send their APN settings to your phone. If your network won’t send you their APN settings, try copying the APN of your network manually. To do this, refer to another phone running on the same network as yours, then manually copy the APN on your phone. You can also search the APN settings of your network on the internet. I’m sure someone has posted it already.
